Cancer is one of the scariest things a person could be diagnosed with and, after awhile, it may seem as if nothing can help. Cancer is an interesting thing because there may be some systems in the body that are still functioning properly in a cancer patient. For example, a woman with breast cancer may have perfect lungs. What’s even more interesting is that for almost 100 years we have known that the lack of health that exists in every single case of cancer has to do with impaired, oxygen-less respiration of the body’s cells. With that being said, Ozone Therapy can be a major help to cancer patients with this aspect and promote immunity function.
What is Ozone Therapy?
Ozone Therapy is a unique and complementary medicine to other therapeutic methods to help treat several diseases. Ozone, a blue colored form of oxygen that has three oxygen atoms instead of two, basically increases the amount of oxygen in the body. It is because of this third oxygen atom that makes ozone a sort of “supercharged” oxygen and gives it the benefits that it has and its medical properties. While Ozone Therapy is a great addition to any treatment plan, it is important to understand that Ozone Therapy by itself will rarely treat a disease and is not necessarily a cure for cancer.
How Ozone Therapy Can Help
One of the benefits of Ozone Therapy for cancer is that when it is administrated at low concentrations, the body’s resistance is mobilized. This means Ozone reactivates the immune system. As a response to this activation through Ozone, the body’s white cells produce protein messengers call cytokines. These inform other white cells, setting off a cascade of positive changes throughout the immune system, which is stimulated to resist disease. This alone can help boost a cancer patient’s immune system to help fight it off. Case histories have shown that Ozone can produce impressive results due to its function as an immune stimulatory agent.
Along with immunity, Ozone can help in another way. Cancer cells die when exposed to oxygen (cancer cells are anaerobic) and due to the fact that Ozone is comprised of three oxygen atoms and introduces more oxygen into the body, cancer cells have a lower chance of surviving.
What are Ozone Therapy Side Effects?
Ozone has been found to be extremely safe with no side effects. In January of 1980, the German Medical Society for Ozone Therapy began an inquiry entitled “Adverse Effects and Typical Complications in Ozone Therapy.” 2,815 questionnaires went to all western German ozone therapists who were known by the Medical Society for Ozone Therapy. Of those questionnaires, 884 went to physicians and 1931 to therapists. In May of 1980, the German Medical Society collected 1,044 replies, which confirmed 384,775 patients were treated with Ozone with 5,579,238 applications. The side effect rate observed by physicians and therapists was .000005 per application and it was stated that “the majority of adverse effects were caused by ignorance about ozone therapy (operator error).”
Should I Incorporate Ozone Therapy?
While Ozone has been proven to be a great addition to a treatment plan, it should be discussed with a doctor who is trained and experienced in the medical use of Ozone so they can properly incorporate it into your current program. While Ozone Therapy has shown to have a positive effect on certain diseases, including cancer, it is not meant to be a magical potion or a guaranteed cure. It is a great addition to add to a current program in order to give further medical benefits.
