Ozone Therapy is an important and complementary medicine that can be used with other therapeutic methods at Angel Longevity Medical Center of Los Angeles San Fernando Valley.
What is Ozone Therapy?
At San Fernando Valley, we offer Ozone Therapy Treatment, a unique and complementary medicine to other therapeutic methods to help treat several diseases. Medical Ozone is always a mixture of purest oxygen and purest Ozone. It increases the amount of oxygen in the body through the introduction of Ozone. Ozone is a blue colored form of oxygen (it’s what makes the sky blue), and unlike regular oxygen, it has three oxygen atoms instead of two. It is because of this third oxygen atom that makes ozone a sort of “supercharged” oxygen and gives it the benefits that it has and its medical properties. An Ozone therapist, a trained physician, determines the correct dosage according to your medical indication and condition.
In general, Ozone Therapy Treatment can do the following:
- Medical Ozone has bactericidal, fungicidal and viricidal properties and is widely used as a disinfectant.
- It has the ability to stimulate the circulation and is used in the treatment of circulatory disorders.
- When administrated at low concentrations, the body’s resistance is mobilized, meaning Ozone reactivates the immune system. As a response to this activation through Ozone, the body’s white cells produce protein messengers called cytokines. These inform other white cells, setting off a cascade of positive changes throughout the immune system, which is stimulated to resist diseases. This can help patients with low immune system activity.
- It can activate the body’s own antioxidants and radical scavengers when Ozone is applied in small quantities in what is called “major Autohemotherapy” (external treatment of the patients’ blood before infusion). This creates a big benefit for those with diseases that involve inflammation.
Which Diseases Can Benefit from Ozone Therapy?
A whole number of pathological conditions exist which can be helped by Ozone, which as been confirmed by many scientific clinical studies. When medical Ozone is applied in addition to other therapeutic methods, a number of diseases and disorders can be helped. Some of the diseases that can benefit from Ozone Therapy include:
Circulatory disorders: Ozone shows its greatest effect in circulatory disorders. This form of treatment has avoided amputations in a number of clinically recorded cases. Infected wounds, open leg ulcers, and burns can be treated by Ozone.
Age-related conditions: Ozone can be used successfully for poor concentration, forgetfulness, general reductions in mental and physical performance, insecurity in walking and dizziness or vertigo, all thanks to Ozone’s general revitalizing capacity, including nerve and brain functions. Elderly people in particular experience an improvement in well-being.
Intestinal conditions: Inflammatory conditions of the large intestine such as colitis, fistulas, and proctitis (inflammation of the rectum) can be helped. A local application of Ozone gas introduced via insufflation can give relief.
Virus-produced diseases: A series of clinical trials have demonstrated success in painful, virus-produced conditions such as hepatitis and herpes.
Rheumatism/Arthritis: Both conditions attack the skeletal and locomotory systems to a varying degree. Ozone can treat pain and inflammation. Repeated treatments can produce long-term relief.
Cancer: When it comes to cancer, it is emphasized that Ozone is not a cure. It is only a complementary measure applied in addition to standard methods. Having said this, case histories have shown that Ozone can produce impressive results due to its function as an immune stimulatory agent.
Is Ozone Therapy for Me?
That is something to discuss with Dr. Anju Mathur, who is trained and experienced in the medical use of Ozone, and would ultimately make that decision for you. Some conditions will not get any better unless Ozone is used, and then there are of course many conditions that will be handled without Ozone Therapy. Due to its many therapeutic properties, Ozone can be used in combination with a therapeutic plan for almost any disease.
Ozone Therapy is very beneficial in the treatment of heart disease, circulatory disease, and chronic infections, such as hepatitis-C, herpes, Lyme, and AIDS. It is also helpful in chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and autoimmune diseases. While there is a large amount of Ozone Therapy benefits and medical properties, it is important to realize that it is not a magical potion or a guaranteed cure. While it works great with other therapeutic methods, it is rarely effective by itself.
If you or a loved one has any of the above conditions or are suffering from any other disease, incorporating Ozone Therapy into your or their current therapeutic method may be able to help further treat the condition and bring health back into view.
