Glutathione
As one of the body’s most important antioxidants, glutathione deficiency is associated with a host of health problems – including neurodegenerative diseases, liver disease, stroke and more. IV therapy can restore a healthy supply of glutathione, improving a number of conditions and symptoms.
What is glutathione?
It is capable of removing toxins, detoxifying the body, and fighting diseases – most notably those that emerge with age.
The health benefits
We recommend glutathione to many of our patients – and with good reason.
The antioxidant is associated with a host of health benefits, and has the power to:
- Increase your energy
- Detoxify the body
- Improve the immune system
- Help neurological diseases, such as Parkinson’s
- Remove toxins from the body and restore cellular health
FAQ: What illnesses are associated with a glutathione deficiency?
Many illnesses and chronic diseases are linked to a glutathione deficiency.
The most common ones we treat at Angel Longevity Medical Center include:
- Parkinson’s disease
- Multiple sclerosis
- Alzheimer’s disease
- Stroke
- Depression
- Asthma
- Liver disease
Parkinson’s disease
With Parkinson’s disease, free radicals damage the brain and cause dopamine-producing neurons to die off. In addition, testing of Parkinson’s patients reveals that many of these individuals are deficient in glutathione. Clinical studies have shown that IV glutathione can improve the symptoms of Parkinson’s and may slow the progression of the disease.
Multiple sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic neurodegenerative disease. With this condition, neurons lose their myelin, resulting in lesions throughout the spinal cord and brain. This inflammation is associated with free radicals, and many people with MS are deficient in glutathione.
The treatment experience What to expect during your appointment
The catheter is a soft, plastic tube attached to a drip bag that contains the glutathione. This bag will remain above your arm throughout the treatment. After the appointment, you may experience some soreness at the site of the catheter. This is to be expected and should dissipate quickly.
